“Abandonment Issues” is a photographic look at abandoned towns that populate our desert. “There is a voyeuristic quality about discovering what has been left behind. What we choose to take with us, when we move on, is very often based on necessity. And what gets left can make an interesting statement about the culture and life processes of a society.
Many of these images are of windows or views through windows. This also plays with the idea of voyeurism and issues surrounding privacy and what we give up when we leave our past behind.”
