WILDFLOWERS OF THE HIGH DESERT

A dazzling program, "WILDFLOWERS OF THE HIGH DESERT," will be presented at the Maturango Museum on Sunday, April 15, 2012, at 2:30 p.m. Revealed on the big screen are the tricks of color and complexity that along with fragrance attract pollinators and our admiration.

The work is a collection of several outstanding local photographers: Joanna Foster, Shelley Ellis, Kathy LaShure, Elaine Wiley, and Jane McEwan. Featured will be wildflowers of the Valley and its surrounding accessible areas - Little Lake, Poison Canyon, and the slopes of the eastern Sierras and El Paso mountains. Narration of the program by Judy Breitenstein will draw upon the observations and knowledge of her many years study of our desert flora.

Visitors can enjoy in the museum's exhibit a great many of the wildflowers shown in the program.
