  • The canyon is located on the Naval Air Weapons Station, China Lake.
  • The Department of the Navy allows people to visit the petroglyph area in Little Petroglyph Canyon, also known as Renegade Canyon, on a limited basis. They control access to the petroglyphs, and all visitors must abide by Navy and Department of Defense regulations.

All personnel entering a military installation are subject to searches and prohibited items, such as alcohol, marijuana (even with medical card), fire arms, ammunition, and similar items, will be cause for denial of entry. Personnel with criminal histories or legally classified as a sex offender will also be denied entrance, per Department of Defense regulations.
