Wildflower Exhibit
March 28 @ 10:00 am - March 30 @ 5:00 pm

Wildflower Exhibit – Friday, March 28 through Sunday, March 30, 2025
This spring the Maturango Museum hosts the 43rd annual Wildflower Exhibit. Over the weekend
starting with Friday, March 28 – Sunday, visitors can see a variety of wildflowers that grow in
the Indian Wells Valley and surrounding canyons. Collectors with the proper BLM permits spend
multiple days gathering the wildflowers which are placed into bottles or vases and then set
onto tables according to their family. This allows visitors to have a close-up view of the many
wildflowers from the Indian Wells Valley & surrounding area – all in one room!
In addition to viewing the wildflowers, the museum has scheduled several activities for this
three-day event.
Glenn Harris will present “Climate and Vegetation” on Friday, March 28, at
6:30 PM.
Rachel Tageant will give a presentation titled ‘A Floristic Inventory of the Owens River
Headwater Area, Mono County, California” on Saturday, March 29, at 3 PM.
We will also have
workshops over the three days.
Cost is $2.00 per person.
