Maturango Museum's Educational Outreach
Museum Tours & Educational Outreach Programs
The museum docents offer the following: a general tour of the museum and its displays including the art gallery and the gardens, a program from our list, or an outreach program. Each program covers one topic in depth: it is designed to supplement and enrich classrooms as well as address state curriculum standards. Topics can also be adapted for adults.
All tours and programs are led by volunteer docents and are available Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and must be scheduled in advance. Special arrangements can sometimes be made for trips to the museum before and after hours.
To schedule a tour or program email the Education Coordinator, Nora Nuckles, at nora@maturango.org, call 760-375-6900, or download the request form and send it to the museum via fax.
Maturango Museum's Children's Hour
Children’s hour is a free monthly program offered from September to May, usually on Fridays, 10:30 to 11:30. Young children and their parents are welcome to participate.
