Join Maturango Museum on October 12-13 2024 for a special rock art trip to Mutau Flat in Ventura County to view Chumash pictographs on a private ranch. We will meet in Frazier Park at 9am on Saturday morning and tour the Flat guided by long time ranch owner Kathy Williams, local historian Bonnie Kane from Ridge Route Museum, and Wind Wolves Preserve Archeologist Jack Sprague. On Sunday, Jack will guide us to some seldom visited rock art sites in the Carrizo Plain National Monument. Convenient hotel/motel accommodations available in Frazier Park/Lebec. Moderate -good mobility necessary with hiking up to 1/2 mile over variable terrain.
